A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for both Saturday and Sunday for the chance to see strong to severe storms both days. A front will make its way southeast through the mid-Atlantic, pumping in moisture and hot air. That combo will give the atmosphere fuel to pop off some storms.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday afternoon and evening with the passage of a cold front. A couple of showers will be possible earlier in the day, but the best chances for showers and thunderstorms will arrive after 2 pm. The front is expected to arrive Saturday afternoon and slowly sag southward Saturday night. A few thunderstorms could be on the stronger side with warmer temperatures and higher humidity. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
