HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Nebraska Legislature held a late session on May 28, passing a few bills and the Stand With Women Act was one of them.

LB 89 , the Stand With Women Act, was introduced by Omaha Senator Kathleen Kauth, at the request of Governor Pillen.

The bill starts out by saying that men and women’s spaces have been diluted by court rulings, and that this bill would rectify that.

Section 2.9 of the bill reads, “Inconsistencies in court rulings and policy initiatives with respect to the definitions of sex, male, female, man, and woman have led to endangerment of single-sex spaces and resources, necessitating clarification of certain terms.”

The bill lays out plenty of arguments for separation of spaces like bodily chemicals and privacy.
