HOUSTON – Hopefully you got your fill of a refreshing north wind and low humidity over the weekend because some serious summer heat is hours away from making it feel like late July!

Summer says hello:

High pressure continues to build in from Mexico, increasing temperatures across the Lone Star State cities west of SE Texas, which could reach the triple digits in some areas like Austin and San Antonio.

Remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion if you plan to be outside. It usually takes our bodies a few weeks to acclimate to the typical summer Houston heat.

However, this wave is coming in hot (no pun intended) and quick, building into the Gulf by mid week, assuring that we’ll likely see near record or record-setting heat each day this week.
