Santa Barbara County residents can get a better understanding of the County's preliminary $1.69 billion 2025-26 fiscal year budget at two public workshops planned for April 14 and 16.

According to the County, the budget is a largely status quo budget balanced by the release of a $6.8 million ongoing revenue set-aside, which maintains focus on advancing countywide initiatives.

County budget workshops are held approximately one month before the release of the recommended budget and two months before budget hearings.
