EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — For the second time in three years, someone has managed to trespass onto the historic LST-325 warship docked in Evansville. Authorities say 47-year-old Donald Rundio forced his way through the gates and boarded the ship before jumping into the Ohio River.

“[He] climbed up on the rail and went in backwards, like a scuba boat,” said LST-325 Director Chris Donahue.

Officials say Rundio is facing multiple charges, including disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and public intoxication. His unauthorized boarding prompted a swift emergency response thanks to Bally’s security team, which monitors the perimeter through surveillance cameras.
