PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- The person who died in a vehicle explosion outside a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California on Saturday has been identified as the suspect in the "intentional act of terrorism" that left at least four others injured, authorities confirmed Sunday.

During a press conference, Akil Davis, assistant director in charge of the FBI's Los Angeles Field Office, said authorities are "fairly confident" that the deceased individual found at the blast site is 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, of Twentynine Palms.

While the investigation is ongoing, Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills said he is "absolutely confident" that the city is safe and there is no ongoing threat. The four people who were injured in the blast have since been released from the hospital, officials con
