EXCLUSIVE: UK producer Victoria Thomas of Republic of Story alongside Akua Gyamfi’s The British Blacklist have launched No Password Required, an industry platform for Black and Global Majority-owned production companies across Europe.

The initiative is supported by the Film Distributors’ Association (FDA), Film Export UK, My Smash Media, ARTEF and the British Film Institute. A directory mapping out Black and Global Majority-owned production companies across Europe will be made publicly available.

On June 12, the initiative will host the first edition of a dedicated industry market focused on Black and Global Majority-owned film production companies, taking place in London.
