(Gray News) – Whole cucumbers are being recalled for salmonella contamination after more than two dozen people reported illnesses across 15 states.

According to the CDC , the cucumbers were grown by Bedner Growers and distributed by Fresh Start Produce between April 29, 2025, to May 19, 2025.

At least 26 people have been sickened in 15 states. Those states include:

Alabama

California

Colorado

Florida

Illinois

Kansas

Kentucky

Michigan

New York

North Carolina

Ohio

Pennsylvania

South Carolina

Tennessee

Virginia

Health officials say at least nine people have been hospitalized as of Tuesday. No deaths have been reported.
