SAN FRANCISCO — Ever get a hankering for a late-night caramel sundae or McFlurry? Well, McDonald's is extending their hours this summer across the country, making those late night munchie dreams come true.

The chain says the "vast majority" of its locations nationwide will be open until midnight or later this summer. However, certain locations in areas that prohibit later hours, such as ones in shopping malls and airports, are excluded.

No specific dates have been announced yet, but a McDonald's spokesperson said in a statement that things will kick off along with the summer season.
