DETROIT, MI – Billy Joel has canceled his upcoming tour dates after being diagnosed with a brain disorder. The cancellations include a legendary show in Michigan with Stevie Nicks.

“The Piano Man” announced the cancellation Friday, May 23, following a diagnosis of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH).

“This condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision, and balance,” Joel’s website said. “Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period.”
