WAILUKU, Hawaii (Island News) -- The temporary restraining order (TRO) against the Maui doctor accused of trying to kill his wife on the Pali Puka Trail was dismissed without prejudice by a Maui judge.

Arielle Konig’s attorney Brandon Segal confirmed that the TRO was dissolved on Friday, May 23, 2025 by Second Circuit Court Judge Bevanne J. Bowers. The restraining order was dismissed because it was found not to be necessary at this time for her protection from Gerhardt Konig. Gerhardt is currently being held without bail as he awaits a trial with a no contact order in place.

However, the TRO could be issued again if circumstances change such as Gerhardt’s custody status. Custody and other legal matters are still in the air pending the divorce Arielle filed at the beginning of the month
