SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Two suspects from New Jersey were taken into custody after a Utah Highway Patrol trooper found over 100 pounds of marijuana in their van during a traffic stop over the weekend.

Martin Davis Little, 40, and Shadaya Yvonne Weaver, 28, were both taken into custody on charges of second-degree felony marijuana possession, third-degree felony possession with the intent to distribute, and misdemeanor drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Little also faces one charge of speeding.

Both Little and Weaver were stopped for speeding on I-80 near milepost 156, just outside of Wanship in Summit County. After approaching the van, the UHP Trooper said he "immediately detected the strong smell of marijuana" coming from inside.
