Rhode Island was selected to the 2025 NCAA Baseball Championship as the No. 3 seed in the Baton Rouge Regional, as announced on ESPN2 on Monday afternoon. It is the highest NCAA seed in program history.

The Rams gathered as a team at the Mews Tavern to view the selection show, which announced the championship’s 64-team field. Rhode Island was one of 29 teams to receive an automatic berth through a conference championship, while 35 teams received at-large bids as decided on by the NCAA DI Baseball Committee.

In addition to the third-seeded Rams (38-20), the Baton Rouge Regional will include the SEC’s LSU, Little Rock from the Ohio Valley Conference and Dallas Baptist out of Conference USA. LSU – the No. 6 overall seed – is the site host. The Rams will open NCAA Tournament play Dallas Bapt
