DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- Police said officers found a man who was shot after a report of gunfire in a Durham neighborhood Monday night.

The incident was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of Onslow Street, about two blocks south of West Club Boulevard in northern Durham, according to the Durham Police Department.

"Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound," police said in a news release.

EMS crews responded to the scene and took the man to a nearby hospital. Police said the man suffered injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.
