Daviess County Fire officials respond to call at Owensboro barbeque restaurant

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — We are learning more after Daviess County Fire crews made a run to an Owensboro eatery.

The Daviess County Fire Department says they were called to a possible structure fire at Ole South Bar-B-Q on Highway 54.

This happened Monday evening around 7:30 p.m.

We're told crews saw smoke and flames coming from the chimney over the pits.

Crews made their way to the roof and used sweeps and chains to knock burning debris loose from inside the chimney.

They also ventilated smoke from inside the structure.

The DCFD says no injuries were reported.

We're told the Thruston-Philpot Fire Department and the Masonville Fire Department also responded to the scene.
