DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A tractor-trailer overturned near the Durham-Chatham County line early Tuesday morning, causing both directions of a state highway to close for several hours.
According to N.C. State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on N.C. Highway 751 near O’Kelley Chapel Road.

State troopers said the driver of the tractor-trailer went off the roadway before overcorrecting, resulting in the crash.
The wreck caused a slight spill of material, but nothing hazardous, NCSHP officials said. The driver suffered minor injuries.
The roadway is expected to be closed between two and four hours, officials said.
