Early voting begins for June 7 runoffs in Texas: What to know

DALLAS — Polls are open for early voting for the June 7 runoff elections in North Texas.

Two Dallas city council seats , the McKinney mayor seat, and a city council seat there, a Fort Worth city council seat , a couple of DeSoto city council seats , and an Irving city council seat are among the races that went to runoffs that will appear on ballots in North Texas.

The runoff elections were triggered for local elections in which no candidate received more than 50% of the vote in the May 3 election.

Early voting for the June 7 runoff election runs until June 3. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties for most of that time. However, polls in Dallas, Denton and Collin counties will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on June 2 and June 3.
