WASHINGTON — Wednesday marks National Hamburger Day for 2025, which means discounted or sometimes even free burgers from some of the biggest fast food chains and delivery services out there.
The national "holiday" isn't really a holiday, but it is listed on the National Day Calendar under May 28. It comes, fittingly, at the end of National Burger Month, which is, as the name implies, a month in celebration of one of America's favorite foods.
In fact, Americans each year consume about 50 billion burgers each year, according to All About Burgers. That's about half of the 100 billion eaten throughout the world.
But for those who don't want to throw some patties on the grill themselves, there are a bunch of deals available at restaurant chains across the country on Wednesday.
