DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The suspect in a deadly DeKalb County shooting that happened on Sunday has been arrested and charged with murder.

DeKalb Police identified the man charged as Shawn Warfield.

The shooting happened around 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the 5600 block of Hillandale Drive. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound; police said he died at the scene.

DeKalb County Jail records show Warfield was booked early Monday morning.

Police have not detailed the precise circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim has not been identified.
