WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Five people were shot at the Brass Mill Center on Waterbury on Tuesday, according to police.

The extent of injuries is unknown. All victims were transported to the hospital and are being treated.

No deaths have been reported.

It's believed that there was some sort of altercation before the shooting, according to police. This is not believed to have been a random incident.

Police are searching for the shooter and said that there is no immediate threat to the public.

Police say there will be a "lengthy investigation."
