BATTLE CREEK - For the last several years, Battle Creek-area teams have made deep runs in the Michigan High School Athletic Association baseball postseason.

And, where those games are and who is playing is what we are talking about as we break down the MHSAA postseason for both baseball and softball, which starts this week.

District play in baseball begins Tuesday, May 27 with district championship games set mostly on Saturday, May 31. Softball district tournaments are set for May 31 as well.

The state finals for both sports will be held at Michigan State University on June 14.
