ATLANTA — If you’re a Georgia taxpayer wondering when those rebate payments are actually hitting bank accounts, you’re not alone.
Gov. Brian Kemp signed two bills into law last month — House Bills 111 and 112 — that authorize one-time rebate checks of up to $500 for eligible filers. The money comes from the state’s budget surplus and is set to soon be distributed.
How much is Georgia's 2025 rebate?
Here’s what the rebates look like based on your filing status:
$250 for single filers or married filing separately
$375 for head of household
$500 for married filing jointly
Who qualifies for Georgia's rebate?
To receive the payment, you must:
Be a full-time Georgia resident for tax purposes
Have filed a Georgia state tax return for both 2023 and 2024
Not be listed as a dependent on
