HOWARD COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A Kokomo woman died Saturday in the Howard County Jail, and Indiana State Police are working to piece together what led to her death.

Detention deputies found Amanda Sullivan, 47, lying on the ground around 7 p.m. that night, according to a press release from ISP. She was unresponsive, and although the deputies performed CPR and medical treatment, Sullivan was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is pending to determine her cause of death. It's unclear if a criminal investigation could unfold; no other details were released.
