Cassie Ventura has officially become a mother of three. The singer and actress welcomed her third child with husband Alex Fine on Tuesday, just two weeks after her testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ high-profile sex-trafficking trial. Reports indicate that Ventura gave birth to a baby boy in a New York City hospital, although details about the newborn have not yet been disclosed.
The couple's new addition joins their two daughters, Frankie and Sunny, who were born in December 2019 and March 2021, respectively. Ventura, 38, announced her pregnancy in February, sharing black-and-white maternity photos on Instagram. In her post, she hinted at the baby's gender with a blue heart emoji, while Fine, 32, expressed his joy, calling their family the “best gift [he] could ask for.”
Ventura's delivery comes on the heels of her testimony against Combs, with whom she had an on-and-off relationship for over a decade. During the trial, she described instances of abuse, including a violent episode captured on hotel surveillance video from 2016. This footage was released in May 2024, prompting Ventura to express gratitude for the support she received from her followers on social media. "The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning," she wrote.
In her testimony, Ventura detailed the traumatic experiences she endured during her time with Combs, including being forced to call him an incestuous name and being subjected to degrading acts. She claimed that the longest of Combs’ notorious “Freak-Off” parties lasted four days, leading to severe health issues for her, including untreatable urinary tract infections.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. He was arrested in September 2024 and is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after being denied bail multiple times. Following the release of the surveillance video, Combs publicly apologized for his past behavior, which he described as “inexcusable.”
While Fine has not directly addressed the allegations against Combs, he has spoken out against abuse, stating, "Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men." He urged his followers to support the women in their lives and to hold their male friends accountable.
Ventura and Fine, who began dating in 2018, married in October 2019. Their growing family marks a new chapter for the couple as they navigate the challenges stemming from Ventura's past relationship with Combs.
