The seasons are over, the Summer has begun and high school sports are, at best, just under three months away. With that in mind, let’s take a deep-dive into the three best schools for each of the three seasons in the past athletics year — Fall, Winter and Spring — to wrap up the 2024-25 campaign.
The schools listed below were determined by the amount of state championships won in the specific season and the individual performance by the players on each team for the school.
Fall
1. Pope
The girls cross-country team won its seventh state title and first since 2020. Josie Hutchinson posted two season-best times with a 11:20.78 in the two-mile and 17:58.15 in the 500-meter.
Greyhound flag football repeated as state champions for Division 3 with a 19-6 win over Pace Academy. Pope went 26-2
