ASHBURN, Va. — Jayden Daniels treated questions about his apparent muscle gain the same way he handles defenders on Sundays—dodging them with ease.
The Washington Commanders’ franchise quarterback arrived at the team’s practice facility for the first day of organized team activities (OTAs) on May 28th looking noticeably stronger, a few pounds heavier, and just as quick. But the reigning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year remained coy about his offseason transformation.
“That’s up for grabs — I don’t know,” Daniels said with a shrug. “I was just working out. It wasn’t about this amount or that much. Just go out there, have a plan and naturally just put on weight.”
