OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEVV) — Owensboro Health has committed $200,000 over three years to support two local projects aimed at improving health and well-being in the region.

The investment will fund the Green River Community Food Warehouse and the future Senior Community Center of Owensboro Daviess County, each receiving $100,000.

The Green River Community Food Warehouse, still in planning, will serve as a centralized facility to distribute fresh and frozen foods to local pantries.

“There are over 15,000 food-insecure people in our community,” said Steve Innes, Warehouse Committee Chair. He emphasized the need for consistent access to high-quality food.
