WASHINGTON, Ind. (WEVV) — A Washington man was arrested by the Indiana State Police's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit for distributing and possessing child pornography.
42-year-old Chad Cooper was taken into custody following a search of his residence on May 28.
A detective initiated the investigation in March 2025, identifying Cooper as a suspect through various investigative techniques.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Cooper's home, seizing electronic and digital media devices. Forensic examinations revealed evidence of child pornography files.
Cooper faces three counts of distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography, all involving victims under the age of 12.
