SALT LAKE CITY — A “fishing emergency” has prompted the Division of Wildlife Resources to increase the fishing limit at Crouse Reservoir in Uinta County.

According to Faith Jolley with the DWR, water levels in the reservoir are low, which triggered an emergency change in the Utah Fishing Guidebook.

“(Starting on Tuesday), anglers (will be allowed) to keep up to eight trout of any species,” Jolley said. “Crouse Reservoir is currently experiencing low water levels, and due to senior water rights in the Pot Creek drainage, additional water from the reservoir must be released.”
