AUSTIN (KXAN) — More All-America honors are rolling in for the Texas Longhorns before they take the field at the Women's College World Series on Thursday.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association and D1Softball.com released their All-America teams ahead of the WCWS in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and three Longhorns made the cut on each squad.

Junior catcher Reese Atwood was named a first-team All-American by both organizations and, in addition, won the NFCA's catcher of the year award. Sophomore pitcher Teagan Kavan and senior third baseman Mia Scott were named to the NFCA second team. It's the first time since 2013 that Texas has had three NFCA All-Americans and the fourth time in school history.
