CINCINNATI (WKRC)— About half of all workers still have unused paid time off at the end of the year, which could pose a health hazard, according to employee assistance specialists with TriHealth.
Rob Goeller, a treatment coordinator at TriHealth, advised workers to ask themselves, "How do you make a plan for time off, how do you account for that when you are doing your balance sheet and all that stuff?"
Goeller emphasized that taking time off, even for a few days, is beneficial for both body and soul. "There's plenty of research showing, making the link between time off and better physical health, better mental health, and it's good for a company's bottom line too," he said. "Employees who are rested, not burned out, tend to be more creative, flexible, tend to just be more effective."
