CINCINNATI (WKRC)— May is Stroke Awareness Month, and the Greater Cincinnati Stroke Consortium is hosting its annual Strike Out Stroke Game at Great American Ball Park.

This year, a remarkable teen stroke survivor will have the honor of throwing out the first pitch.

Quinn Lambert-Moskowitz, who suffered a stroke at the age of nine, will take the mound before the Cincinnati Reds face the Arizona Diamondbacks. His family once feared he might not have the chance to become the competitive athlete he is today. Now a teenager, Lambert-Moskowitz is set to join the Sycamore High School football team as a kicker this fall.

"I'm gonna play kicker," said Lambert-Moskowitz.

He has also found a passion for competitive figure skating. Both sports are non-contact, which is all doctors allow following
