ATLANTA — Reality show stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, sentenced to prison in Atlanta for tax evasion, were pardoned by President Donald Trump Wednesday.

"The president called me personally as I was walking into Sam’s Club," Savannah Chrisley told her followers on Instagram, recounting how she learned of the pardon of her parents.

Held in prisons in Florida and Kentucky, Trump indicated during the phone call that he expected their release within hours. A White House aide posted video of the call on X.

And just as anticipated, Todd Chrisley was released from prison hours later, according to the team who worked on the pardons with the couple's attorneys. Julie Chrisley's release came sometime after. Both were headed to Nashville Wednesday evening.
