QUAD CITIES, IA/Ill. (KWQC) --

Warming Up

Hazy/smoky Friday into Saturday

90s return

An upper-level system cut off from the main flow is finally moving out today, leading to only minor rain chances and highs in the low 70s.

Skies will clear tonight, setting the stage for a sunny day Friday with highs in the low 80s. However, smoke from Canadian wildfires may create hazy skies at times, and there could be enough smoke near the surface to produce a noticeable smell and lead to unhealthy air quality.

Smoke may linger into Saturday, though it looks to be much lighter, allowing highs to reach the low to mid 80s.

Summer-like air returns Sunday and continues into next week, with highs in the 80s and 90s.

TODAY: Partly sunny with a few afternoon showers. High 72º Winds: N 5-10 mph.
