DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The man on trial for the 2023 murder of a woman at a Durham hotel was found guilty Wednesday, court records show.

A jury in Durham County Court returned a verdict of guilty of first-degree murder involving domestic violence against 35-year-old Rodney Crawford in connection with the death of 29-year-old Nicole Bullock, according to court records.

Court records show Crawford was sentenced to life in prison without parole the same day.

On March 5, 2023, Durham police said they responded to a report of cardiac arrest at the Sonesta Select, a hotel in the 300 block of Residence Inn Boulevard. They found Bullock dead at the scene and determined her death was a homicide.

According to Durham police, Crawford was arrested in connection with Bullock's death.
