ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) - St. Petersburg officials are considering multiple contract changes to raise the budget for repairs at Tropicana Field.

Next week, they'll discuss adding millions of dollars to help salvage the stadium and clean it out.

The stadium sits seemingly untouched since Hurricane Milton.

Outside, the roof is gone. Inside, there's damage caused by the storm and continued exposure to the elements.

Recently added to the city council's agenda for the June 5 meeting, more money to try and get the ballpark back to playing standards.

Councilmembers are set to discuss nearly $3 million in additional funding for metal panel repairs and replacement. Plus, $280,000 in design services for the mechanical, plumbing, structural engineering, and architectural design.
