SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Sonora Police Department has released information regarding the incident that sparked a multi-agency manhunt for an "armed and extremely dangerous" murder suspect on May 28 following the subject's capture.

In an alert issued on the morning of May 28, the City of Sonora stated that Austin John Rodriguez, 30, was wanted by the Sonora Police Department, Sutton County Sheriff's Office and Texas Rangers for murder. The City advised that he was "armed and extremely dangerous" and encouraged citizens to contact local law enforcement should he be seen or information about his whereabouts be gathered.
