Woman assaulted whilst travelling on Bristol bus

A woman was assaulted by an unknown man this afternoon (Thursday, May 29) on the top deck of a bus in Bristol.

At around 2.45pm, officers were called to the A37 Wells Road following a report of a woman being assaulted on the bus.

The police said the woman felt a pinch from behind her when she was sat on the top-deck of the bus.

The suspect was challenged by fellow passengers before fleeing the scene before police arrived.

A witness told BristolLive that the incident took place on the 2a bus going towards the city centre from Stockwood .

The witness said that a man was involved and that he was chased off the bus by a number of passengers.
