WADESBORO, N.C. (WBTV) - A man accused of murder in North Carolina on Wednesday has been arrested across state lines, authorities confirmed.
The murder allegedly happened around 8:30 p.m. on May 28 at the Oak Hill Apartments in Wadesboro.
When Wadesboro police officers got to the apartments, they from a gunshot wound. A few hours later, police declared 20-year-old Kea’yon Dorrell Richardson a suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Richardson was arrested more than half a day later on Thursday afternoon in Cheraw, S.C.
Upon his arrest, Richardson was booked into the Chesterfield County jail.
Officials have not yet released the name nor age of the female who was killed in Wednesday’s shooting. They also have not shared the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
