SEATTLE — Calls are growing for King County Assessor John Wilson to resign after a temporary restraining order was issued against him amid allegations of stalking and harassment from his former domestic partner.

King County Councilmembers Claudia Balducci and Girmay Zahilay have called on Wilson to resign and remove himself as a candidate for King County executive.

Balducci, who is also a candidate for King County executive, said, "holding public office is a privilege, not a right" in a statement calling for his resignation and campaign suspension.
