1 dead, 1 wounded in Alton shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man was shot and another was wounded in a shooting that happened in Alton on Wednesday night.

Police say a man was found shot inside a car in the 3100 block of Lawn Street around 9:30 p.m. The victim, later identified as 41-year-old Donald Lane, was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Officers on the scene were then told that a second victim arrived at a local hospital.

Police believe the shooting was not random.
