The Shreveport Police Department is actively searching for Gentry Jones, who fled from officers during a traffic stop on May 22, 2025.

Officers initially stopped Jones while he was operating a vehicle in the 7000 block of Sun Tan Street. During the stop, Jones provided a false name to officers. When officers attempted to verify his identity, he accelerated and fled the scene, initiating a vehicle pursuit.

Due to heavy traffic conditions and in the interest of public safety, officers made the decision to terminate the pursuit. However, investigators were able to identify the suspect as Gentry Jones through body-worn camera footage. Further investigation revealed that Jones is also wanted on active w
