BEAUMONT, Texas — The Beaumont Renegades have clinched the top seed in the upcoming National Arena League (NAL) playoffs, but while the team dominates on the field, it’s calling on the Golden Triangle community to help them thrive off it.
The Renegades, a first-year team, have quickly become the hottest force in the NAL, earning praise not just for their gameplay but for their commitment to representing Southeast Texas, despite most players originally hailing from outside the region, including Houston and Maryland.
“Yes, it’s amazing,” said defensive back Ricardo Barnett. “I’ve met a lot of very nice people… we’re looking to close out and win the championship and bring it here for us.”
