OKLAHOMA CITY — For the second time in five days, Florida softball will be playing for its season.
Sunday, the Gators remained undefeated under Tim Walton in super regionals with a win over Georgia.
Now, UF finds itself in a similar situation just one day into the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. The Gators fell 3-0 to Texas in the first game of the WCWS – the program’s first WCWS opening loss since 2019. That season was also the last time Florida got swept in the sport’s biggest stage.
