The big story: School’s out for summer .

Across the Tampa Bay region and Florida, students are signing yearbooks, saying “see ya” to friends and teachers and otherwise getting ready for some time away from classes.

Pinellas children had their last day of school on Thursday, while Hillsborough and Pasco kids end today. Just a handful of districts, including Miami-Dade, run into June.

That doesn’t mean learning has to halt, though. Districts will kick off summer classes as early as next week. Some are even offering fun camps. Read more here .
