The southbound lanes of Alma School Road are closed between Sandpiper Drive and Ocotillo Road in south Chandler, city officials said.

Sandpiper Drive is the first traffic light south of Queen Creek Road.

The section of road was damaged Thursday due to a water main break.

Paving crews were scheduled to repair the damage beginning Friday morning, according to a release.

City officials said an update will be provided Friday afternoon.
