MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is running for U.S. Senate in 2026.
Marshall on Thursday released a video announcing his bid to succeed U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., who is leaving the Senate to run for governor.
Asked about his run for Senate, Marshall told Alabama Daily News he is eager to leverage his career as a prosecutor to make an impact in Washington.
“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve as your Attorney General,” Marshall said in a statement to Alabama Daily News. “We’ve taken bold action and gotten things done for Alabama and our country — from standing strong against the overreach and woke policies of the Biden Administration to standing with President Trump to defend our values.”
