DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The students and staff of Hillside High School are on a lockdown which was triggered sometime before 11:20 a.m. Friday.

A Durham County Public School System representative would not confirm what exactly prompted the lockdown, but said there was police activity on or near the campus.

CBS 17 has reached out to the Durham Police Department for more information and has not heard back.
