EASTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent a 16-year-old Easton girl to the hospital earlier this year.

Antonio Fonseca, 19, was taken into custody Friday on charges of assault and battery with a firearm, armed robbery, carrying a firearm without a license, and possession of a large capacity firearm.

He is expected to be arraigned later on Friday.

On Jan. 14, officers responding to an apartment complex on Robert Drive found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. She was flown to the hospital in serious condition.

Police say she is still recovering from significant injuries.

Anthony Lopes and Xavion Barnes, both of Brockton, were previously arrested in connection with the shooting.
