Strong to severe storms were likely across the Charlotte Metro in North and South Carolina on Friday, May 30. The region was at an enhanced risk (level 3 of 5) for severe weather.

The potentially strong storms were expected to move through the Charlotte Metro in the early afternoon on Friday, particularly around 2 p.m.
Damaging winds were possible during the storm. Our First Alert meteorologists couldn’t rule out the threat of hail or tornadoes, either.
